I wanted to try Google Chrome, but I didn't find any version for Linux when I was writting the post for my polish blog. Now I know that in AUR (ArchLinux User-community Repository) there is Google Chrome and it's working pretty good. I have this version -> google-chrome-beta 5.0.307.11-1. There is newer build, but this works ;)
I found Chromium on my old desktop. This computer is quite old and because of that I decided to change clean and increase performance. I changed KDE to LXDE, but it didn't solve the problem with hight CPU usage. I checked which process took large amount and it was Opera Browser. Then I thought: "OK. I can change it... But for what?!" I tried Firefox, but things which I needed the most at that time, which was Google Doc, weren't working. So I started searching in repositories and found Chromium. I decade to try it.
Installation? pacman -S chromium
After launching I got nice and clean application. Good for eyes. ;)
I have to say that I really like it. Since then I'm using it on daily basic and I'm happy with it. Only sometimes it is making my HP notebook slow, but I like to have many tabs open for very long time. ;)
I think this app is worth checking. After you do it, let me know what you think about it. Hope you have fun. Don't be afraid to leave a comment.
Greetings
